Commonly Asked Questions

What is BidNav?

BidNav is a pilot-to-PBS translator. It takes your list of priorities and creates the necessary bid groups to get you as much of what you are asking for as your seniority will hold. BidNav will do line bidding, reserve bidding, or a combination of both, depending on what you define in your profile. The BidNav support team also provides support before, during, and after the bid period.

How much is it?

BidNav is only $50 per month per pilot. You can create as many bid plans as you need to get the right set of requirements for your needs while bidding is open. The BidNav support team is available as needed via email or our toll-free number at any time. While we do not have official hours, we respond within 24 hours to all inquiries, and aim to be as timely in our responses as possible while bidding is open.

Does BidNav auto-submit my bid to PBS?

NO, we DO NOT auto-submit your bid. BUT... BidNav CAN auto-submit your bid, however the company will not allow us to do that at this time. PLEASE: Contact your LEC reps and let them know that you support this effort. If you need their emails or a resolution to floor at your next LEC meeting, please contact us as soon as possible: support@cclsoftware.com or (855) 4-BidNav.

When can I sign up for BidNav?

Anytime! Whether bidding is open or closed, anytime during the month. If you sign up after the 12th of the month, at 10am CST, you will be billed for the following bid month immediately. You will not be billed on the 3rd of the next month for the upcoming bid period. After the initial sign-up, you will be billed on the 3rd of every month prior to bidding opening.

For example, if you sign up on February 13th, you will pay immediately for the March bid period. You will not be billed on the 3rd of March, but you will be billed starting the 3rd of April, and on the 3rd of each month thereafter.

Is there a contract?

No. Currently BidNav is offered on a month-to-month basis. In months where you do not need to bid for a schedule you have two options. Option 1 is to go into "Skip Bidding" mode, where you are charged a data maintenance fee of $10 per month until you return to regular bidding. Option 2 is to deactivate your account entirely until you resume regular bidding. This option will remove all saved profiles and data associated with your account entirely, and to do this you will need to email us at support@cclsoftware.com or call us at (855) 4-BidNav so that we can deactivate your account. You will also need to email or call us in order to re-activate your account when you wish to resume regular bidding.

Can I still sign up for this month?

Yes! You can sign up for BidNav at anytime during the open bid window (6th - 12th) and use it immediately. Remember that you will need to take the resulting bid plan and enter it manually into PBS prior to the close of bidding, so make sure you leave enough time to accomplish this.

I am very senior. Will BidNav help me?

YES! Being senior alone is not enough to guarantee a good schedule. BidNav ensures that you are bidding correctly for your preferences, ensuring that your seniority is maximized.

I am very junior. Will BidNav help me?

YES! Just because you are junior does not mean that you can't bid for line preferencing. We have strategies to help you get the best chance of getting a line possible, followed by reserve bids. We also provide support to help you with setting up your profile to maximize your chances of getting a better schedule. Bidding correctly is always the key, and this is where we shine!

What is TripNav?

TripNav is a bid package search engine. It allows you to search for trips via days and layovers, allows you to sort trips via flight time, credit time, report time, release time, trip length and trip start date. You can use TripNav to import specific trips into your bid profile, making it easy to setup a profile in BidNav.
